Events

SA-IDA members participate in about a dozen Educational Outreach events each year. We give formal presentations to groups and have display tables or booths at various events. Occasionally a couple members bring their telescopes at outdoor events.

2022

  • Feb 28 to March 3, 2022 – SARSEF judging for Dark Skies Science Fair Special Category Awards. The fair was virtual with all projects online. All judging was done by viewing projects on the SARSEF web site by Joe. One “Excellence In Science” award was given and delivered to the SARSEF office for delivery to the school.

2021

  • March 1 to 4, 2021 – SARSEF judging for Dark Skies Science Fair Special Category Awards. The fair was virtual with all projects online. All judging was done by viewing projects on the SARSEF web site by Dave and Joe. One “Excellence In Science” award was given and delivered to the SARSEF office for delivery to the school.
  • A couple of Zoom presentations were given to small groups and some assistance was given regarding business signage.
